After about 30 years as a dental hygienist, Susie McKeown decided to follow her passion for home decorating and start her business Inside Out Designs.
We were introduced by a mutual friend (shout out to George!) and hit it off IMMEDIATELY. In fact, the day after our discovery call, we ran into each other at lunch, hugged, and laughed at how we were brought together!
Obviously, we were meant to be friends.

The project: About me page and taglines for home decorating business
In launching her new business, Susie wanted to connect with the right clients from the start and share her story. Per usual, we started with the ICON Assessment so I could “become one” with her and learn more about who she wanted to reach.
From there, we had a strategy call to go even more in-depth with the vision of her business and what makes her the one for the job.
It’s so apparent she loves people and loves giving them a much needed refresh when they’re sick of their space but stuck on what to change. From an eye for design to her love of plants, she can bring a ton of ideas to freshen up any room.
After absorbing all things Susie, I created an About Me page in her voice and wove together her career background, love for people, and devotion to decorating with her client’s functional AND style needs in mind.
After that I got to brainstorming some taglines and we landed on “Make your space your favorite place!”
It captures Susie’s enthusiasm for decorating with the dread that people feel about trying to revamp their space on their own.
“It's so much easier to seek help from a pro than do it myself. I don't cut my own hair, clean my own teeth, etc. Leave it to the experts. :-)”
Now Susie’s ready to tell everyone about Inside Out Designs and start her second career as the go-to decorator for busy families!
Why I loved this project
Step aside champagne, there’s way more bubbly in Susie’s energetic personality! Plus, seeing other creative people BEAM when they talk about their work, especially coming from a very different career background like dental hygienist, it just pumps me up that what we do is so fulfilling and good for the world.
