Corrie Myers is a website and email copywriter who helps brands sound as awesome as they actually are. She’s also a fabulous friend from the Think Tank, a copywriting mastermind led by Rob Marsh and Kira Hug where we met and grew as copywriters this past year!
Corrie and a designer she worked with had recently helped their client achieve a 5-figure launch, but didn’t have the bandwidth to share the full story in a joint case study.
She had tried “talking about it on social media — which means a few people saw it, but they didn't get the whole story. I knew something was missing.”
The Challenge: Time and bandwidth away from client work to share client results
Corrie said “I've seen your work before, specifically with case studies. I honestly wouldn't have thought about having a case study written without you sharing your work, both for your own business and for clients. And because you're in the Think Tank, I knew you were a top-notch copywriter. I only want to work with the best! :)”
Ah yes, this is a case study about writing a case study from one copywriter to another. 😂
In fact, I’ve even had fellow writers assist me in writing my case studies, too!
It’s a whole case-study-ception if you will.
Anyway, back to Corrie. Time was of the essence so I got to work creating feedback surveys in her brand colors (a fancy, shmancy Typeform) that she could send to her client and designer to capture their experience working together.
“I'd hire you again even if you increase your rates. It was a quick and easy process, plus I got the (extremely valuable) bonus of survey data.”
The Solution: Write the case study her client results deserved!
With her survey data in hand I pulled out key takeaways from the experience including how they strategized and approached the project, what made the offer irresistible, and how the client nurtured her audience in the launch.
From beginning to end I included quotes from all parties so the narrative was in their voice while telling the story.
Case studies like Corrie’s help prospects understand the full process of what it’s like to work with an expert, which builds their confidence and trust to hire her for similar projects.
And with results like theirs – it’s a huge credibility boost, too!
I asked Corrie why outsourcing this project was a better alternative to what she had tried before, and she said “Well, the alternative is hiding the great results in a 24-hour shelf life on Instagram stories, or in the middle of the night ideas that never get brought to fruition because I'm focusing on client work instead. So yeah, hiring an expert copywriter to take this story and make it something future clients can see is a way better option.”
I love what she said about the shelf life of sharing her results – it’s so true!
Now she has a case study to share with future clients and celebrate her client’s successful launch. I believe marketing in this way will only grow her authority in her business, and have a much longer shelf life than 24 hours!

Why I loved this project
Case studies have come to be some of my favorite projects even though I don’t really advertise them. Getting to work with Corrie and hear how well the designer and client collaborated together gave me so much confidence to add the sparkle to the story!
Plus, she’s always fun to be around, so I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
